Claude Fable 5 Extended Again — Included Access Now Runs to July 19
The second extension in a week keeps Anthropic's Mythos-class model in paid plans through July 19, as the model wars heat up around it.

The Deadline Moves Again
For the second time in a week, Claude Fable 5's included access has been extended — this time through July 19 at 11:59:59 PM PT. As before, the news arrived at the deadline itself, via Anthropic's support documentation, with the public posts following. The companion perk moves with it: the temporary 50% increase to Claude Code weekly usage limits is extended to the same date.
The Competitive Backdrop
The timing is hard to ignore. On July 9, OpenAI's GPT-5.6 "Sol" reached general availability at $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output — half Fable 5's input price. Industry coverage has tied Anthropic's rolling extensions to the escalating frontier-model race; whatever the internal reasoning, nobody wants to be the company that took its best model away the week a rival shipped theirs.
The Whiplash Problem
This is the third deadline in three weeks — July 7, then July 12, now July 19 — and commentators have started calling out the access uncertainty by name. Each extension is welcome; none of them is a commitment. Subscribers, especially teams, plan their work around what a plan reliably includes.
Our Take
We'd rather plan around a stable allowance than a countdown. TSS continues to route its heaviest engineering and research work through Fable 5 while the window is open — but July 19 is a week away, and what we're really watching for is a permanent decision.

Extensions are welcome. Certainty would be better.
